Rev Tofiga Vaevalu Falani.[MBE] was appointed at the President of Te Ekalesia Kelisiano Tuvalu in 2008. In 2021 he was appointed as the General Governor of Tuvalu. Rev Falani had been previously appointed as Acting Governor General on 14 August 2017, to perform the functions of Sir Iakoba Taeia Italeli when he was abesnt in Tuvalu. Rev Tofiga Vaevalu Falani is the 10th Governor General for Tuvalu Island.
